Dear WHS Alum,
We hope this letter finds you well! As announced in our survey, this year’s Washington High School Alumni Scholarship Foundation Purgolders United Annual Alumni Social will once again be offered as a virtual event. Based on your feedback, the majority of you asked for the event to be held on a Saturday morning, so we have scheduled the event on Saturday, May 21, 2022. This year’s program will feature Susan Brown, retired WHS guidance counselor. Ms. Brown will share her experiences of providing the support needed to help each student graduate and begin their paths to becoming illustrious Washington alumni. Please watch for more information about the event, which will include opportunities for networking and catching up with old friends.
In the meantime, our graduating seniors continue to depend upon our scholarship support – now more than ever. With skyrocketing prices, paying for college has become an even greater hurdle for our students to maneuver, so we are asking for your help now. Please consider making a donation, in whatever amount, to the WHS Alumni Scholarship Fund. Your gift, which is tax deductible, supports college scholarships for WHS graduating seniors in addition to funding other college readiness programs.
Thank you for your thoughtful consideration of support. As you know, Washington High School has been a part of the fabric of the Milwaukee community since 1911. You, our graduates, have gone on to be civic and business leaders at the local, state, and national levels. We appreciate your support of our current students, and we hope you’ll be able to join us at our virtual event on May 21st.
Sincerely,
Tayotis Caldwell
