Specialty programs enrich the learning experiences at Victory. We do our best to give our students a well-rounded education that aides them in all areas of their life. Specialty programs provide Victory with the ability to challenge students to their best both inside and outside of the classroom.
Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports (PBIS)
PBIS is a joint effort between Milwaukee Public Schools Office of Family Services and the Milwaukee Teachers’ Education Association to effectively reduce classroom disruptions and student suspensions through a school-wide systematic tiered-intervention approach. Data shows that schools that implement PBIS with fidelity see decreases in disruptions and suspensions and increases in student achievement.
Outdoor Nature Garden
Our Outdoor Nature Garden provides for hands-on environmental education. This outdoor classroom/environmental garden provides opportunities for students to interact with the natural world, observing and experiencing the seasonal changes in nature and the diversity of life on the school grounds.
Our second- through fifth-graders are offered enrichment opportunities through a program called Creative SHARP. This is a literacy program designed to improve reading and writing levels in grade school students through exposure to art and history.
Special Education Services
We have high expectations for all of our students and provide quality education to students with special needs. Victory School offers a continuum of special education services through five service providers.
