Dear Townsend Street School Families,
I am excited and honored to be a part of the Townsend Street School team. Having the opportunity to meet with staff and parents taking part in earnest dialogue confirms the dedication and commitment the school community has for our students. I am eager to be a part of the work that serves in meeting student achievement goals. We will continue to focus on reading, writing and mathematics skills as well as building culture and climate.
Serving in Milwaukee Public Schools as a teacher, support teacher and an administrator has inspired me to remain focused on what matters and what is important. As educators, we must continuously preserve quality education to ensure that our students are provided with authentic skill-building experiences. Those experiences will give them the confidence to compete in the job market of the future. In addition, we must strategically teach students to become problem-solvers equipping them to become the next generation of leaders in the world.
I encourage the students of Townsend Street School to engage in the Virtual Learning Platform, explore opportunities of learning that goes beyond brick and mortar, be creative and collaborate with peers to expand their thinking process as well as understanding. This is a new chapter for all of us, and I am more than confident that Townsend Street School will be successful.
