Dear Parents/Guardians of South Division High School Students,
As we approach the Winter Break, I would like to first take this opportunity to wish each of you and your families a most happy, healthy holiday season! I hope that you will have a chance to relax and enjoy some special times with your children. As always, I am so proud of how hard they have been working each and every day! One of our school-wide goals this year is to help our students become stronger writers, and that they have a solid literacy background as well as to have them be present every day all day in school. Perhaps your children might like to write in a “vacation journal” about some of the fun things that they do while away from school next couple of weeks! They may also wish to continue to proof read their essays and bring them closer to final copy as possible. We would love to read all about their “adventures!” Perhaps reading a good book during these weeks could also be a goal. Please remember to check our school website on a regular basis, for updates and information, including our digital Marquee. The website may be accessed by logging onto the link below. http://www5.milwaukee.k12.wi.us/school/south/
In the event your son/daughter will be absent, or late due to illness, or for any reason, you must call the school or send them back the following day with a written excuse for the previous day.
Winter Break is from December 21st to January 2nd. Classes will resume/begin on January 4th.
Thank you for your understanding and cooperation, as we work together to ensure that all students at South Division High School are literate ready for college, career or life. Have a Happy and Healthy New Year!
