About

Groppi’s primary goal is to meet the educational needs of at-risk students ages 16-21. All students must attend orientation and a parent is required to accompany students who are 17 and younger. Groppi is located in the heart of the city and is easily accessible via the Milwaukee County Transit System. Our educational program is designed to improve students’ attitude, attendance record, work habits, social skills and academic achievement. Student programs are mostly half-day with opportunities for extended days for qualifying students. The curriculum includes computer-based instruction, small traditional classroom settings, and GED02. We offer special education inclusion classes. Groppi offers a strong support to students as they transition from school to higher education, the world of work or the military. Our program is enhanced by the support of a full-time social worker, literacy coach, guidance counselor, part-time transition coordinator and psychologist.
