1. Do you have a great voice? Do you like to be heard? Then have we got the job for you! Ms. Figlesthaler is looking for enthusiastic student announcers. Auditions will be held Monday, August 21st and Tuesday, August 22nd at 3:00 after school in room 104. Please see Ms. Figlesthaler for details.
2.All course change requests must be picked up in Guidance. Your signed paperwork MUST be returned by this Friday, YES this Friday, in order to have changes made. No course changes will be allowed after THIS Friday 8/18 deadline.
3.Monitor application are also in Guidance. All monitor applications must also be submitted no later than Friday August 18 and must be approved by Ms. Carrington. After the deadline you will have to wait for second semester.
4.Service as Action Sophomores. Please log in to your Managebac accounts to confirm that you have completed your 20 hours of freshman-year volunteerism. If there are any missing documents, there will be a note to guide you. Any questions? Stop by the library.
5.Attention any students needing to finish out volunteer activities. Open Doors Milwaukee is looking for MPS student help with their September events. Stop in the library for an informational flyer.
6.Good morning generals!! So you think you can… DANCE, DANce, dance!!! If you are interested in trying out for the Rufus King Dance Team, come to room 332 right after school on Tuesday, August 22nd! We will teach you the dance for tryouts. Please see Ms. Dempsey or Gabriela Armon with any questions. Gracias!!
7.Good morning Generals! The Cross Country team is TOTALLY accepting anyone who would like to be part of our team. A love of running or a love of running great distances is NOT required. If you would like to be part of something different, the King Cross Country team is definitely right up your alley. King Cross Country: Just Join it. See Mr. Zeise anytime during the day or right after school in Room 128 or 124. Ooh Rah!
8.Math tutoring will start on next Monday and will be on M/TH, 3-4:15p. Mr. Moore.
9.Academic Decathlon will have its inaugural meeting for the 2017-18 tournement as we look the dethrone four year state champion Wilmont Union High school. Join us next Tuesday 8/22 after school until 4:00 pm in Ms. Miennert’s new classroom in 127. New players at all grade point averages are welcome and encouraged.
10.Students Live the IB profile and be Principled- act with honor and integrity meaning: that selling food is a violation of school policy. All food items will be confiscated and not returned if you are caught selling food. And your parent will be notified. Students who stay after school must NOT wait for rides on 19th street. You must exit the building on Olive Street.
