2.Greetings Rufus King, Have you been feeling stressed out? Does Spring Break feel like a life time away? If so, please considering joining the Real Life Discussion Group Wednesday, March 29th from 3:00-4:00 pm in Room 308. Mr. Major Cooper from MATC’s student health services will be here to help us think and learn about stress and depression. All members of the Rufus King community are welcome to attend. 4.Do you have an audition coming up? Are you confident when speaking in public? If so, join Braylen Stevens and Nia Wooten for a Theatrical Workshop: Downs and Out. They will provide you with public speaking and audition tips. The workshop will be held Tuesday, March 28th from 3-5 in room 104. You don’t want to miss it!
5.Attention!! All prom appeal letters are due to Ms. Carrington no later than this Wednesday, March 29th at 3:30pm. If you were suspended during this semester and you are planning to attend prom you must submit an appeal letter and get it approved before you can buy tickets.

7.Juniors, are you interested in learning more about the college admissions process? Your school counselors along with college admissions reprsentatives from the University of Chicago are offering a College admissions Workshop this summer. We will explore, “What Makes a Great College Application, the College Essay, and Understanding Financial Aid”. Please stop in 212 to pick up an interest form. Space is limited, so stop in the counseling office today to pick up your interest form!
8.Service as Action Freshman and sophomores: Milwaukee Public Museum is looking for high school students aged 15 or older volunteer in their exhibits. Get resume-worthy skills like communication, group presentation, time management, and teamwork—all while talking about the awesome natural and cultural history exhibits. Volunteers must be friendly and willing to engage with the museum’s guests. There are a number of topics you can explore, including dinosaurs, bugs, Native Americans, mummies and more. In addition, there will opportunities in the Demonstration Kitchen through June. Stop in the library today for an informational flyer. Ms. Thompson, MYP Coordinator

11.Generals I need your attention to talk about a serious issue. Please listen up. The Blood drive is scheduled for this Friday, and for the FIRST Time in Rufus King history it is in jeopordy of being canceled. The American Red Cross is in critical need of Blood Donations at this time of year. Boycotting the blood Drive because of your concerns is NOT the best way to handle it. We promise this issue will be looked at after the blood drive. Please understand, For every ounce of blood that is collected, up to THREE lives can be saved. Please sign up TODAY and Tomorrow, service hours can be given for doing this very NOBLE deed during this time of crisis of not having an adequate supply of blood available. 12.The girls’ varsity softball team defeated Hustisford 8-7. Amber Heun was the winning pitcher. Rayne Deffenbaugh lead the hitting attack with 3 hits including a double, a triple, and a home run while driving in 4 runs. Jane Kilander also drove in 2 runs. The Lady Generals are now 1-0.
