2.Bonjour! Are you a Francophile? Do you like all things French? Their movies? Their food? Their language? Then Le Club Francais, French Club, King’s newest club, is for you. Our first meeting is Thursday, March 23rd in room 314.
3.There is only ONE WEEK until Prom tickets go on sale, so Juniors and Seniors will YOU be eligible to buy a ticket? To be eligible to buy a prom ticket ALL Juniors and Seniors need to have their student fees paid with a balance of $50.00 or less. Juniors, you should pay your fees either online or in the Main Office. Seniors, you should pay your fees either online or in Room 205m AS SOON AS POSSIBLE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
4.Attention All Seniors and Juniors: Prom ticket sales begin this coming Monday, March 27th. That’s only five school days away. Monday and Tuesday are senior sales only. Wednesday, March 29th – April 7th juniors and seniors can buy tickets until we are sold out. You can purchase your prom ticket for $65 during your lunch hour in Mr. Nichols’s office. Remember we only have 325 available tickets, so buy early. See you at the prom Mrs. Dreyer and Mr. Nichols
5.Attention all juniors and seniors. Are you going to prom? Would you like to be the King or Queen, Prince or Princess, etc. Then pick up your nomination form outside of room 10. All nomination forms are due Thursday, March 23rd to Mrs. Dreyer in room 10 by 3:00p.m.
6.THE Blood Drive is Coming! The Blood Drive is Coming !! THE BLOOD DRIVE IS COMING!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Any Senior who signs up for the Blood Drive this week, by Friday, will also get an extra TWO FREE tickets to graduation, but you must sign-up by Friday. We encourage ALL eligible Generals to sign-up and donate Blood at the annual Spring Blood Drive. Giving the gift of life through your donation Is showing your General PRIDE, Be a Hero sign up today! Also it is important you eat iron rich food in preparation for donating Blood.
7.Wisconsin Challenge Academy staff will be holding a presentation to explain their program on March 28th at 1:00. Challenge Academy is an option for students who are at least 16 years old, significantly credit deficient and unable to graduate on time. The residential program offers an opportunity for individuals to work towards earning a High School Equivalency Diploma in less than 6 months. If you would like more information, please see Ms. LaPlante in Room 130B.
8.UWM College of Engineering is offering an ALL-GIRL Engineering Summer Camp for high school students. This year’s project will be to design and build a renewable power station for people in Guatemala. The camp will run from July 30th through August 4th. For more information see your math teacher or Mr. Harmon in room 219.
9.Buenos días full diploma seniors! The time has come to schedule your face-to-face exit interviews with your advisors. Please do this immediately! The due date for CAS is Friday, March 31st. If you have not fulfilled all requirements of CAS by this date you will be dropped from the full diploma program. Finish strong seniors! Please see Ms. Dempsey with questions or concerns. Gracias!
10.Service as Action Sophomores! Friday, May 5th is the deadline to have your 20 hours of community service complete. It is also the deadline to have all evidence, reflections and tracking or supervisor forms turned in or uploaded to Managebac. Plan ahead! Need to get outside and get going? Stop in the library for an “All Outdoors and Gardens” list of SAA opportunities. Remember, May 5th is the deadline!
11.Congratulations Sophomores, YOU DID IT! You are officially done with the Personal Project! You all did an awesome job and deserve a million gold stars. Listen for the announcement about a party in the spring. Also, please pick up your projects from room 302 as soon as possible!
