4.Attention seniors, if you would like to attend the senior skate night please turn to the group page or see Senior President Braylen for more information.
5.Do you like comedic pieces? Do you like telling dramatic stories? Or are you just interested in acting and theatre? Then this opportunity is for you to enhance your theatrical skills and learn about the do’s and don’ts in an audition. Join us Tuesday, March 28th from 3-5p in Room 104, there will be an audition workshop for anyone interested. You can prepare a monologue or do a cold reading. Materials will be provided and there will also be special guest. See Ms. Fig for any questions.
6.RKHS ACE Coalition members, please join us for our next meeting on Tuesday, March 21st, from 3:00-4:30pm in room 210. At this meeting, we welcome professor and Associate Dean of UWM’s Peck School of the Arts Kim Cosier as our guest speaker. Kim will begin with a discussion surrounding an article from the book that she co-edited, then lead printmaking and collaging workshops, with a focus on using art as activism. Please bring magazines or newspapers for collaging. See you there!
7.Bonjour! Are you a Francophile? Do you like all things French? Their movies? Their food? Their language? Then Le Club Francais, French Club, King’s newest club, is for you. Our first meeting is Thursday, March 23rd in room 314.
8.There is only ONE WEEK until Prom tickets go on sale, so Juniors and Seniors will YOU be eligible to buy a ticket? To be eligible to buy a prom ticket ALL Juniors and Seniors need to have their student fees paid with a balance of $50.00 or less. Juniors, you should pay your fees either online or in the Main Office. Seniors, you should pay your fees either online or in Room 205m AS SOON AS POSSIBLE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
9.Attention All Seniors and Juniors: Prom ticket sales begin this coming Monday, March 27th. That’s only five school days away. Monday and Tuesday are senior sales only. Wednesday, March 29th – April 7th juniors and seniors can buy tickets until we are sold out. You can purchase your prom ticket for $65 during your lunch hour in Mr. Nichols’s office. Remember we only have 325 available tickets, so buy early. See you at the prom Mrs. Dreyer and Mr. Nichols
10.Attention all juniors and seniors. Are you going to prom? Would you like to be the King or Queen, Prince or Princess, etc. Then pick up your nomination form outside of room 10. All nomination forms are due Thursday, March 23rd to Mrs. Dreyer in room 10 by 3:00p.m.
11.THE Blood Drive is Coming! The Blood Drive is Coming !! THE BLOOD DRIVE IS COMING!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Any Senior who signs up for the Blood Drive this week, by Friday, will also get an extra TWO FREE tickets to graduation, but you must sign-up by Friday. We encourage ALL eligible Generals to sign-up and donate Blood at the annual Spring Blood Drive. Giving the gift of life through your donation Is showing your General PRIDE, Be a Hero sign up today! Also it is important you eat iron rich food in preparation for donating Blood.
12.The baseball team is still looking for players to come out for the team. If you’re interested in playing baseball see Mr Nichols to fill out your forms and come out for the team.
13.Congratulation to the Girls Track team for winning the Lake Michigan Invite last Friday. First place performances were turned in my Makayla Jackson in the long jump, Amari Brown in the 200 and Kiersten Walker in the 800. Great job ladies!
14.The Girls Track Team ran at Whitefish Bay’s Lois Wolf Invite on Monday. First place finishers were Camari Tellis in the 200, Kiersten Walker in the 400 and Siarah Jones in the 55 hurdles. The next track meet in Friday at West Allis Central.
15.The vending machine for breakfast is up and running! Stop on by in the morning for your nutritious breakfast.
