1. Viva Las Vegas! Viva Las Vegas! Viva Las Vegaaaaaas! That’s right prom is one month away and ticket sales will begin this month on Monday, March 27th. You can purchase your prom ticket for $65 during your lunch hour in Mr. Nichols’s office from March 27th – April 7th. Don’t delay, there are only 325 tickets available. When they’re gone – they’re gone! See you at the prom Mrs. Dreyer and Mr. Nichols.
2.Hey Rufus King! School-bullying is no joke and we Generals won’t stand for it! Did you know that STUDENTS hold the most anti-bully power? If you’re interested in learning how to combat bullying, join the LGBTQ PLUS CLUB this Tuesday, March 14 from 3–4pm in room 306. All students are welcome to attend. Please see Ms. Daroszeski for details.
3.Attention all juniors and seniors who want to run for prom court. Nomination forms are available outside Mrs. Dreyer’s classroom, room 10, starting Monday March 13th. Stop by and pick up a form. All forms are due by March 23 no later than 3:00.
4.Do you like March Madness? Do you want the possibility of going to Prom at the inappropriately low price of $5? Well, I have the thing for you. Enter our Rufus King Bracket Challenge and win a prom ticket. Here’s how it works: go to Room 414 to see Mr. Schaefer, pay $5, he will get you entered in our bracket challenge, predict all the NCAA tournament games and follow your picks all the way to the Championship game on April 3. If your bracket scores the most points, you win a prom ticket. HOLY CATS is that exciting! Bracket sign up will be done Monday, March 13 through Wednesday March 15. Watch all of the exciting college basketball action with some extra interest, while supporting Rufus King athletics!
5.Here is your Healthy Eating tip of the day as you get ready to donate at the Spring Blood Drive. For breakfast have a glass of Orange juice along with a high-iron cereal, and at lunch add a slice of tomato to your hamburger to boost your iron count. Sign up for the blood drive is taking place outside of room 125 NOW. Get your spot now before they are all taken.
6.Seniors and Juniors only TWO WEEKS before Prom tickets go on sale!!!!!! Will YOU be able to buy a Prom ticket? Remember you need to have your student fee balance below $50.00 in order to be eligible to buy a Prom ticket. Seniors pay your fee in room 205 TODAY, Juniors – pay your fee in the Main Office TODAY!!!!
7.Seniors – Cap and gown distribution will be on April 6th. Have you ordered your Cap and Gown? If not please see Mr. Dupies in room 205, ASAP.
8.Attention all juniors and seniors looking to attend prom. A gracious senior has agreed to donated her prom dress, size 8 to a student in need. Please see Ms. Mikell in guidance by Friday if you are interested.
9.Attention Service as Action Freshman. Luther Manor Senior Living Community is looking to fill 75 volunteer positions at any of its campuses in Wauwatosa, Mequon and Grafton. All you need is to be over the age of 12 and have the desire to make someone’s day a little brighter. Volunter service at Luther Manor is flexible. Take this opportunity to not only fulfill your SAA and graduation requirements but to learn new skills such as teamwork, camaraderie and creative problem solving.Want to learn more? 10.Dance battles! Swordfights! Dragons! Flannel? Tickets are now on sale for the spring play, She Kills Monsters. The play will be held Friday, March 24th at 7:30pm and Saturday, March 25th at 2:30pm and 7:30pm. Tickets are $3 for staff and students and $6 for adults.
