The School Governance Council (SEC), was formerly known as the SGC until the 2017-18 school year, when the Board changed some of the policies regarding this body. The SEC is made up of parents and staff who help advise the principal in key decisions at MGIS. The SEC offers guidance on curriculum, student achievement and the school budget. The SEC also monitors the school’s Educational Plan and provides strong leadership in our school community.
Meetings are scheduled for the second Tuesday of the month from 4:45 – 5:45 p.m. Although the parents that are involved officially have a voting voice, parents are always welcome to this open meeting.
