A $75.00 fee is due at enrollment. Each year a re-enrollment fee per child is added to each account in May if your child will return the following school year. Both fees are non-refundable.
Tuition is based on what is SCHEDULED, not on attendance. Please refer to Fee Schedule Form.
The center has a 3 day minimum per each session per week policy.
If a child exceeds his/her scheduled session by 5 minutes the account is charged for the additional session fee along with a $5.00 penalty fee per each session occurrence. This policy applies to all accounts and all situations. The center is State licensed and must remain in compliance of the teacher/child ratio at all times. In order to follow this regulation we must be informed in advance of the number of children for each day.
The center cannot accept “calling the day of” to request care.
It is the parents’ responsibility to pay tuition on first scheduled date of attendance.
A $5.00 fee is assessed to each account if tuition is not paid on first day of attendance.
3 vacation/sick days per child are allotted from September through the last day of school.
If a child is scheduled on an MPS off day vacation/sick time cannot be applied.
Parents must request a vacation/sick day in writing in order to be applied to the account.
Any child that does not attend the center for 5 consecutive days, without notice to the center, will be dis-enrolled. Vacation will be applied if available and family will be responsible for balance on account.
Any child involved in extracurricular activities must complete a Release Form prior to the start of the activity. The center cannot be responsible for escorting or retrieving the child from the activity and is not responsible for supervision during this time. Tuition fees will remain family’s responsibility if the child was originally enrolled during the time of the activity.
MPS OFF DAY
It is the parents’ responsibility to sign their child up for the MPS off day one week prior on the form the center provides. If the parent does not enroll their child for that day the center will assume alternate care has been found and the account will not be charged. Late sign up will include an additional $5.00 fee.
All families need to provide a lunch on these days. The center does not have access to a refrigerator/microwave. The center is a peanut/treenut free facility. Any food served or brought in lunches on off days must be free of all nut products and not manufactured in a plant that may contain nuts.
If the center attends a field trip on off days all children must participate.
Activities, crafts and lesson plans are done on off days.
MEDICATION/HEALTH ALLERGIES OR CONCERNS
Any child with health concerns who need medication must be sent with proper non-expired medication, which will remain on the center’s site. Proper doctor forms must also be provided. Get ready for the MPS Kindergarten Enrollment Fair on February 2, 2019
MPS will host a Kindergarten Enrollment Fair on February 2, 2019, from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. at Milwaukee High School of the Arts. The Fair will help families explore schools, make choices, and enroll students for fall 2019. Wisconsin law requires children to complete five-year-old kindergarten before entering first grade.
All MPS schools that offer kindergarten will be present so families can ask questions, learn about programs, and identify the best options for their children. Families will have the chance to speak directly with school staff and get help filling out enrollment forms. Interpreters will be available. The event will include fun activities to help children get excited about starting school including face painting and make-and-take crafts.
MPS provides free breakfast and lunch for all students. Many schools have before- and after-school care to accommodate parents. Bus transportation is available; each school can provide information. Uniforms are worn by students in many MPS schools.
