WINTER GIFT CARD SALE!!!
DID YOU KNOW? One of the ways the Maryland Avenue Montessori PTO raises money is by participating in a Scrip Gift Card fundraising program. With the holidays (and a pandemic) now upon us, don’t gift cards sound like a simple gift idea?! Or you can use them to do your own holiday shopping, while earning money for our school!

THAT’S A FUNNY NAME…WHAT IS “SCRIP”? The Scrip Gift Card Program is a fundraising method where families pay and receive the face value on the gift cards they order, while the school receives a percentage (a “rebate”) on their purchase! It’s so easy to help raise money for the school by just ordering gift cards to stores where you already shop for groceries, clothes, gas, etc. There are more than 700 national retailers that offer rebates on their gift cards, as well as many local favorites such as Sendik’s on Downer, Colectivo, City Market, and more.
HOW TO ORDER: Visit the website (www.shopwithscrip.com). If you have ordered scrip as part of the MAM program before, sign-in to your account and start shopping! If you are new to the program, first click “Join a Program” in the upper right-hand corner and enter MAM’s Scrip code: 4F11D8F219889. Then you’ll be able to set up an account and start shopping.
WHAT TO ORDER:
- “Physical” Cards, for gift giving and keeping in an actual wallet.
- “E-cards” for those who would prefer keeping their gift cards virtually in the “RaiseRight” app.
- Cards from Local Vendors including City Market, Colectivo, Fischberger’s Variety, Nehring’s Sendik’s (on Downer), Sendik’s Food Markets (Balestreiri), Stone Creek Coffee, and Thief Wine Shop & Bar.
HOW TO PAY:
- Pay online via “PrestoPay” which directly connects to your bank account and costs only $0.15 per transaction. (Please note that the PrestoPay set-up process takes a few days, so start the process now so you are ready at order time!) This method is strongly encouraged!*; OR
- Pay online with a credit card (2.6% fee); OR
- Write a check payable to “Maryland Avenue PTO” and mail or drop of at school.
* Please note that setting up a PrestoPay account will allow you to support MAM all year round by ordering “E”-cards online, anytime you need them…even, say, in the checkout line of a store before you make a purchase! You can also reload plastic cards using a PrestoPay account!
