Virtual Early Admissions

Current Students

Parents and guardians of MPS 5th and 8th graders must have an active Infinite Campus/Parent Portal account to apply for schools. The application will automatically attach the student’s report card, attendance, and other required information from last year. Below is a list of MPS schools that can transfer this information to a student’s application.

Visit the Infinite Campus/Parent Portal if you already have your account set up.

If you need your account activated, you must contact your child’s school to obtain your Universal ID code.  Learn how to set up an account.

Students New to MPS

Students who attended a school outside of MPS for 7th grade need to complete the New/Returning Student Application. Your school will send a link to complete the writing assessment.

Non-MPS families can apply by following these steps.

  1. Complete the New/Returning Application that collects all necessary information. This application requires you to upload your 7th grade report card and input your scores from standardized testing.
  2. Register for the Writing Assessment.

8th Grade Schools that Transfer Documents to Student Applications

If your student does not attend one of the schools listed below, your child’s current school will need to provide the student’s report card, attendance, and other required information to Milwaukee Public Schools.
