Our goal this year is to achieve 96% or better attendance. We are currently at 92.4%; we MUST raise our attendance rate. For the 2018-2019 school year, we lost 5 points off of our state report card due to having a high absentee rate over 13%.
This even prevented us from achieving the level to meet expectations as a school. We are still higher than last year to date attendance; however, we have to keep up the good work! This is just a friendly reminder that our students are expected to be in school everyday.
Help us in our initiative to have a steady 95%-100% attendance rate by ensuring that your child is in school and on time on a daily basis. Please call the school attendance line to report your child’s absence at 414-902-8660, and follow up with a note when your child returns to school. Thank you!
Our Annual Salvation Army Food Drive was a huge success this year. Manitoba School collected over 3,000 items. Grade level winners celebrated with a pizza party.
First Place Winner: 4th Grade – Room 104
Second Place Winner: 5th Grade – Room 205
Third Place Winner: 1st Grade – Room 118
Thank you everyone for your continued participation. Without your help and generosity, this would not have been possible.
Dear Manitoba Family,
Greetings as the holiday season approaches, we will continue to focus in the need to have all of our students reading on grade level. Our students continue to show progress in their academic achievement. We continue to introduce new ways for our students to thrive through UWM-Smart Spaces (6th Grade), Reading Residency (8th Grade), and Making Sense of Science (4th and 5th Grade). District Learning Journeys provide opportunities for students to experience learning through hands on activities and exposure.
Our Annual Salvation Army Food Drive was a complete success thanks to your generosity as a school community. Once again, we exceeded by donating over 3,000 items to the Southeastern Wisconsin food bank.
Happy Holidays to all of you and a wonderful new year!
