I feel there is a very quiet unsung hero at JMAC. She is the “go to” person if anyone ever needs help or a favor. She is very knowledgeable when using a computer or if you have questions concerning your SLO. I feel very few people are aware of her many attributes like how she works with the Credit Recovery Program twice a week, or she generously offers a ride home to JMAC staff or when there is a “crunch” with the copiers, she will run copies for other staff members or teachers that are absent, using her own prep time. Her dedication to her students is evident; giving of her time, before and after school, offering an extra pair of hands to the special education students; not to mention food and other essentials they need.
She is always sharing with her coworkers, even dragging her smart board or projector from her room to their room. She is always friendly, providing assistance to students and staff, going as far as to stay until almost midnight on a school night helping with another teachers’ project.
Outside of the classroom she is involved with NAF, she volunteers at such events like the career fair, and during the summer she attends numerous seminars and workshops. Not only does she strive to improve her own teaching practices, but she brings back new ideas and strategies that she shares with her colleagues.
This remarkable member of the JMAC family is Mrs. Laura Meyer.
For offering your noble steed,
For rescuing damsels and gents in distress from the great twin dragons, PPG and SLO
For sharing your superb knowledge, “how do I scan, where do I upload and tag”?
For sharing your wares, your smart board, laptop
For improving your great jousting skills and sharing those skills with others,
For answering pleas for help with a smile and a quiet, “yes”,
For being a humble helping hand to your fellow JMAC citizens, both staff and students,
I knight thee, Lady Knight Meyer, friend to one and all at JMAC.
