Mr. Stewart is a wonderful leader and mentor for our science department. In the classroom, he provides his students with a rigorous and challenging curriculum teaching both Chemistry and Project Lead the Way Health Sciences. He also provides students with opportunities to participate in new and innovative projects that allow them to see science in a real world context. In past years, he ran the Environmental Science Club. He also has spoken at the State Science Teach Convention about hydroponics in the classroom, which he successfully implemented in his classroom for the last few years. In addition to plant life, he exposes his students to animal life, hatching chickens, having reptiles and amphibians, as well as fish, Furthermore, Mr. Stewart is honest with his students and holds them to his expectations. He gives constant and constant feedback about their academic and social behavior.
What’s more, Mr. Stewart takes teaching beyond that traditional classroom, advising and leading Youth Health Service Corp and the corresponding Blood Drives quarterly.
In light of all of his leadership, dedication to his profession, and expectations for himself and his student, as well as innovation, I am pleased to Knight Mr. Stewart, Sir Roosevelt Stewart!
