Today, James Madison Academic Campus welcomes a teacher who is dedicated to the academic, athletic and mental advancement of students, to Madison Knighthood. Ms. Ivy embodies all the characteristics expected of a Madison Knight- compassion, honor, principle, morality, talent, and cleverness. Her due diligence and attention to detail are features that make her a wonderful math teacher, track coach, and leader. Ms. Ivy has played a crucial role in the athletic department of James Madison (both when it was James Madison University High School and now that the school is James Madison Academic Campus), in various roles with the Knights’ and Lady Knights’ Basketball teams. Though, where she truly shines is as the head coach of the James Madison Academic Campus Track Team, where she teaches discipline, teamwork, goal setting, skill and form, and school spirit. The involvement Ms. Ivy has at JMAC has led to her building many long lasting connections with students and improved the overall climate of JMAC, she truly is a Lady Knight. Congratulations Lady Knight Ivy!
– In the words of Mr. David Etheridge, Math Teacher
