Lincoln Center of the Arts (LCA) is proud of the strong Arts Program it offers students. Through this program, students are able to improve their theatrical and musical skills, helping them develop into talented, young learners. LCA strives to integrate the arts into its curriculum, encouraging students to use creativity to express themselves and to solve complex problems.
Students at LCA star in a variety of productions throughout the school year. From choir to dance, students develop a wide variety of talents that they are eager to showcase to the community. With the guidance of experienced professionals, students receive the instruction they need to build their confidence levels and hone their abilities.
Fine Arts course offerings at LCA include Band/Orchestra/Choir, General Music, Visual Arts, Theater Arts, Graphic Arts, Dance, Physical Education, Video Technology and Advanced Computing, varying slightly by grade level.
LCA has been educating and entertaining students with performance and an arts-integrated curriculum since 1992. All LCA performances are directed, built and led by experienced artists and educators combining their talents with exceptional young people. The school is fortunate to house resident artists who provide professional entertainment and combine their expertise with students from across Southeastern Wisconsin. LCA’s ticket prices remain among the lowest in the city and many performances are accompanied by study guides that reinforce MPS Learning Targets while augmenting state standardized curriculum.
LCA students travel upon request to present current drama and music performances or showcase art exhibitions. LCA shows can be booked by calling (414) 212-3300.
