Lincoln Avenue School takes pride in its developmental bilingual program. Our goal is that students enrolled in the developmental bilingual program leave our school by 5th grade reading, writing and speaking proficiently in Spanish AND English. At Lincoln Avenue School, after-school services are offered through the Community Learning Center coordinated by the Boys and Girls Club of Greater Milwaukee. Activities include Homework Help, academic tutoring, computer classes, organized sports and various clubs.

Head Start promotes school readiness for children, ages three to five, in low-income families by offering educational, nutritional, health, social and other services. Head Start programs promote school readiness by enhancing the social and cognitive development of children through the provision of educational, health, nutritional, social and other services to enrolled children and families. PBIS is a joint effort between Milwaukee Public Schools Office of Family Services and the Milwaukee Teachers’ Education Association to effectively reduce classroom disruptions and student suspensions through a school-wide systematic tiered-intervention approach. Data shows that schools that implement PBIS with fidelity see decreases in disruptions and suspensions and increases in student achievement
