Greetings to Family and Friends of Hampton Elementary School! On behalf of the entire staff, I want to welcome you to the new school year. Please read the following informational reminders to help get the school year off to a good start.
First Day: The first day of school for all students is Thursday, September 1st unless you have received staggered start information for students in grades K4 & K5. Please be on time. SCHOOL STAFF, ON THE PLAYGROUND, WILL DIRECT STUDENTS TO THE PROPER AREA TO LINE UP WITH THEIR CLASS.
Line up in Cafeteria – 7:35 a.m.
Lunchtime/recess for K4-2nd 11:00 a.m. to 11:45 a.m.
Lunchtime/recess for 3rd-5th 11:30 a.m. to 12:15 p.m.
Dismissal – 2:20 p.m.
Contact Forms: It is very important that the yellow emergency contact form is completed and RETURNED ON THE FIRST DAY OF SCHOOL. Please list everyone who has permission to pick up your child. We will not release your child to anyone who is not indicated on the yellow card without permission from you. This is for the protection and safety of all children. Place a check at the top of the form if there has been a change to your home address or telephone number. This will indicate to the office staff that they need to update your child’s record.
Lunch Program: Each child will receive free lunch again this year. Parents DO NOT need to complete a lunch application for this year.
Uniforms: The majority of families are in agreement to have school uniforms for the 2016-2017 school year. Students will be required to wear black pants or skirts and red polo shirts when they start at Hampton on Thursday, September 1st.
Medications: Parents must complete a new medication form each year in order for their child to receive medication at school. Medication must be in the original container and will be kept in the nurse’s room or school office. Also, we cannot be responsible for administering over the counter medication to students.
Monthly Newsletter: The Parent Newsletter will be distributed monthly and will include a calendar of events and the school lunch menu.
We are happy to have your child/children at Hampton. Enjoy the rest of your summer…stay safe. We will see you Thursday, September 1st. We are looking forward to a productive school year.
