My name is Mr. Paredones, or Mr. P as I am best known! I am so humbled and honored to serve as one of your Assistant Principals. I am a graduate of Milwaukee Public Schools and grew up on the south side of Milwaukee, which has helped me form a deep understanding of the successes, struggles, and barriers that many of our students face, as I was once one of those students facing many of the same barriers. This experience has resulted in my passion to serve you all, our students, and our families. I consider myself a lifelong learner and love to grow and learn in my professional career. I have obtained both my master’s in social work and my master’s in administrative leadership. My goal as assistant principal is to empower our students, helping them understand that they can work more deeply through their barriers and challenges and have success. To teach them what perseverance is and help them learn and apply this so they can have a strong character trait when they graduate. I want these families and students to feel the freedom to dream big! With a strong feeling of support from me as their assistant principal, understanding that they can come to me with concerns and that they can trust that I will work diligently to help them address and overcome these issues.Throughout my career, I have worked with students from age three all the way through 12th grade. I have also worked with adults as a Probation and Parole Officer. Most recently, I served as School Social Worker at Hamilton High School.I believe that any student can achieve success with the right supports in place. I also am bilingual and therefore can help serve our Spanish speaking families in their primary language.I hold an open-door policy to students, staff, and families and look forward to working together to problem solve and achieve success. Finally, when I’m not spending time with my family, I enjoy running and training for marathons and coaching boxing.
