We thought it was about time to introduce our fabulous new staff since it is impossible for you to meet them in person, and, even if you could, you wouldn’t be able to see their faces which would be obscured by those popular and trendy Hamilton masks.
Topping the list is Fatima Alsharifi, new to Hamilton’s guidance department, and responsible for students in all grades whose last names begin with the letters F-L. Alsharifi, who is in her very first year in MPS, was born and raised in and around Chicago. She attended Illinois State University and then moved to Milwaukee to be with her now-husband, where she began teaching social studies at a private middle school, and, at the same time, attended graduate school at UWM. She then realized she wanted to marry her passions for mental health, student advocacy, and education, so she graduated in May 2020 with an M.S. in educational psychology with a focus on school counseling. Ms. Alsharifi now occupies her free time making art, planning post-pandemic travels, spending time with family and friends, listening to music, watching reruns of The Office, and funny Tik Toks, trying new foods, and playing with make-up. She is always up to meet and chat, whether in person or virtually, and she looks forward to meeting all members of the Hamilton family soon!
