Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports (PBIS)
PBIS is a joint effort between Milwaukee Public Schools Office of Family Services and the Milwaukee Teachers’ Education Association to effectively reduce classroom disruptions and student suspensions through a school-wide systematic tiered-intervention approach. Data shows that schools that implement PBIS with fidelity see decreases in disruptions and suspensions and increases in student achievement.
Special Education
The teaching staff at Grantosa Drive School strive to educate all learning styles to ensure that individual learning needs, special education concerns and Individual Education Plans (IEPs) are met.
CLC (Community Learning Center)
Grantosa’s CLC (Community Learning Center) is a recreational and educational program offered through the Boys & Girls Club of Greater Milwaukee. Grantosa’s CLC offers parents an early drop off time at 7:00 am, and late pick-up until 6:00pm. During the hours of operation, the children receive Homework Help in Reading, Math, Language, Science, and Social Studies. The academic coordinator ensures that lessons are connected to what children are learning in school.
CLC has a wide variety of physical fitness activities, arts projects and computer based enrichment programs your child can participate in.
CLC programs increase student achievement and learning, provide an alternative to being home alone, and offer safe havens from unwanted influences.
