The BOOK FAIR is running from 11/27 to 12/1. Proceeds from the fair go towards purchasing books and supplies for classrooms, incentives, and prizes for Family Nights! Books are a great tool to help kids learn, expand their vocabulary, and use their imaginations.
The Scholastic Book Fair will be open for students and families from 11/27 to 12/1.
We will be having our November Family Night on Wednesday, 11/15. We will have refreshments followed by a presentation about PBIS in the gym. Thanksgiving and other themed activities will follow. There will be goody bags and books for all kids.
DAC meeting is this Thursday, November 2nd at Central Office (5225 W Vliet St). The meeting goes from 6-7:30pm with a light meal served at 5:30pm.

School Picture Day is on Wednesday, October 18th, 2017. You will be receiving order forms in the next few days.
Parent Teacher Conferences will be held Wednesday, October 11th from 3:30-7:00pm. Teachers will be sending information home in the coming days.

U.S. Grant will be hosting a Harvest Fest for families on Tuesday, October 17th from 5:30-7pm.
Dinner will be served from 5:30-6pm in the cafeteria.
Activities will take place in the gym from 6-7pm.
This fun family event will feature math games and activities, spooky music, pizza, treat bags, and coloring activities!

October 5th DAC Meeting: The first DAC meeting of the year is Thursday, October 5th! Join us starting at 5:30pm for a light meal with the meeting/program going from 6-7:30pm. This first meeting will double as the district’s family leadership training for the year, be sure to invite your parent leaders, SEC (SGC) members, and anyone interested in serving on the DAC.
Our Annual Title I Meeting will be taking place on Thursday, September 28th from 4-6pm. Our principal, Mr. Bruno, will be speaking to families about what Title I is, what it means to families, and about our School-Parent Compact.
There will be FREE books for students, a welcome packet for families, and door prizes for adults!
A snack will be provided.
