This was a great school year for the athletics program! We offered a total of seven teams, with over 150 students turning out for the various tryouts throughout the year and approximately 100 students had the opportunity to play on one of the teams. We also offered two new athletic opportunities at the middle school level, 7th & 8th grade girls basketball and 7th & 8th grade Co-Ed Volleyball. All the student athletes put forth great effort and demonstrated exceptional sportsmanship throughout their respective seasons, so please congratulate them on their success!
If we would like to continue to offer a variety of athletics in our school, and hopefully eliminate having to cut student athletes, or at least reduce the number of cuts, then we need your help! If you are interested in becoming a coach or an assistant for any sport, then please contact the Sports Coordinator, Adam Oldenburg, at 414-321-7960 or email: email@example.com. This should be done as soon as possible, as it takes time to process the paperwork that is required by the Milwaukee Recreation Department and this could be done over the summer, so that you would be ready to go at the start of next school year.
