Dear Parent or Guardian of New K3 and K4 Students:
Thank you for selecting Fernwood Montessori School for your child. Starting school is a big step in the life of both children and parents. Parents of three and four year old children who will be starting school at Fernwood in the Fall of 2022 are invited to join us for a Spring Orientation session. We will offer two identical sessions on Tuesday, May 24, at 9:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m. This is your opportunity to learn more about Montessori and how to prepare your child for school.
This orientation is especially helpful for parents who are new to Fernwood Montessori. Current parents are welcome to attend for a “refresher class”. The program will last approximately 45 minutes, depending on parent questions. Because this will be an informational meeting for parents, we ask that you not bring your child to school on May 24th. We will provide a special orientation for the children on their first day of school in August/September.
On May 24th, please bring your child’s original birth certificate, copy of your child’s immunization record, and a proof of residency.
We had a wonderful response during the February enrollment period and have an extensive wait list for the fall. If you decide that your child will not be attending Fernwood next year, please let us know as soon as possible, so that we can fill that empty seat with a child from the wait list.
Please read over the attached bus transportation information letter. It is necessary to make transportation arrangements now for next fall. Whether or not you plan to use a school bus, we ask that you complete and return the form as soon as possible. The transportation form may be emailed or faxed to 294-1315.
