Please remember to turn in the BRIGHT YELLOW permission slips for the last day of school picnic ($0) by Wednesday of this week!! So far only 6 students have turned them in. The name of the food item your child volunteered to bring is written in the box on the front at the bottom.
Your child has been asked to bring either 1 perishable or 1 non-perishable item to our Last day of school picnic/grill out. Please plan for 30 students and 3-5 adults. Non-perishables can be stored at school at any time. Have your child bring perishables on Thursday, June 13th. We are lucky enough to be using the Senboutaraj Food Truck for the hot dogs again this year! Ms. Stefanie will bring veggie dogs for vegetarians. And as in the past, food will be shared among the classrooms while extra food will be donated to the Bay View Community Center Food Pantry.
Parents are always welcome to join us at the park on the last day. Please remember students are not allowed in or near the shorelines during school hours and they are also not allowed to throw rocks in the water. Unfortunately, we have had a few mishaps in the past (kids being hit in the head by rocks).
We are looking for 2-3 children’s red wagons to help us tote all of our food over to South Shore Park on Friday for the picnic. Two children have already volunteered. These items are critical!
Students are once again asking if they can bring treats this week to celebrate summer birthdays. Yes. If you’d like to send a summer birthday treat either Wednesday or Thursday (during the picnic), either day would work for us. Wednesday might make the summer birthday boy or girl feel more special 😊
The end is near <3
