On August 12th, 2019, Andrew S. Douglas Middle School reopened its doors as a traditional middle school in the 53206 zip code! We were excited to see all the students on the first day of school as we start our 2019-2020 school year! Here’s a glimpse of what our 1st day of being ready looked like! We are grateful to start this journey in our remodeled building!
We are excited to announce that next school year Andrew Douglas will be the only traditional middle school of the 53206 zip code. This is a VERY exciting change for the 53206 zip. Our middle school will have MANY things to offer to their student, such as foreign language, updated classrooms, a focus on STEM, extra circular activities, and much more! With open enrollment right around the corner, please keep Andrew Douglas in mind for your child’s next journey! We will be there to work with you every step of the way!
After K5’s field trip Ms. Rothe works with her students as they eat their lunch! She was caught doing an awesome job! Thank you Ms. Rothe for all you do, we appreciate you!
On Saturday September 29th, MPS hosted an enrollment fair where all of the middle and high schools attended to help start enrollment for the 2019-2020 school year! We had many families come to see what our school is all about! We were excited to be able to talk about the transition our school is making to become a traditional middle school next year and some of the programs we will be offering as well! Thank you to all who stopped by to visit our table and we look forward to starting next school year!
Our K4-2nd grade students went to Betty Brinn Children’s Museum to learn and have fun! From the construction zone to the self guided tour, our students had a ball! Thank you to Betty Brinn for helping make learning fun!

On Friday May 11th, 2018 we had Muffins with Mom’s to celebrate the mother figures in our student’s lives. The made picture frames, weaved baskets and took pictures to celebrate the women in their lives. We had a great turnout for all of our mother figures! Great way to celebrate Mother’s Day!
