School Lunch Eligibility
The Milwaukee Public Schools district, which includes Clement Avenue School, participates in the Community Eligibility Program (CEP), which means that all students at 156 MPS elementary, middle and high schools will be able to receive a healthy breakfast and lunch at no charge, regardless of family income.
Participating in the program provides the following benefits:
- Ensures that all students can receive healthful school meals, regardless of income.
- Minimizes the time students spend in line and maximizes the time they spend eating.
- Reduces paperwork.
- Establishes a pre-payment option for a la carte, second (student) and adult meals.
Clement Avenue parents do not have to submit a meal benefits application. However, families will be asked to complete a simple, alternate survey form for the district which will be used to determine eligibility for fee waivers and other educational benefits.

Please plan your child’s lunch with good nutrition in mind. Parents of students with asthma and allergic reactions to certain foods need to consult the office and kitchen manager. Special dietary meals will be considered. Candy and soda are not encouraged.
We have a “quiet” lunch policy in the cafeteria. This allows us to move children in and out in a timely manner to recess where they can exercise and talk freely. We ask that children limit their talking so that directions can be heard by all students.
