Come join us for Burdick School’s Playground Ribbon Cutting on October 30 at 9:00 a.m. There will be time for the community to explore the new space after the ceremony.
Burdick was honored to have author Paul Noth visit the students in grades 3-6 to share his wisdom and inspiration. Mr. Noth is the author of such children’s titles How to Properly Dispose of Planet Earth and How to Sell Your Family to the Aliens. We thank Mr. Noth for his generous donation of time and energy.
The Burdick Art Department is reaching out to the Burdick Community for the following donations:
- Hand-held pencil sharpeners
- Crayons, markers, and colored pencils (new or used)
- 4 oz. Elmer’s Glue bottles
- Plastic containers (butter, cottage cheesed, etc.)
- Craft supplies
- jewels, sequins, buttons, googly eyes, feathers, pom-poms, glitter, craft sticks, pipe cleaners, and foam items)
Any donations can be dropped off in the school office. We thank you for your consideration and your generosity is greatly appreciated!
Join Burdick School and the PTT for Burdick’s first annual “Harvest Your Treats” Fall Festival on October 29 from 5:30 p.m. until 7:30 p.m. in the Burdick Gymnasium. More information can be found here.
The Burdick Art Department is proud to announce the student Artists of the Month for October:

Who: Burdick Students, Families, and Staff
Families are invited to come walk with their child’s class.
What: Wear orange to stand up against bullying and participate in the Unity Walk and Celebration.

The fall parent-teacher conferences will be held on Tuesday, October 22 from 3:30 p.m. until 7:30 p.m. and on Wednesday, October 23 from 3:30 p.m. until 7:00 p.m.
The annual Burdick all-school fundraiser runs from September 10 through September 30. Order packets have been sent home with the students. Orders can also be placed online at www.clubschoicefundraising.com/register (order code is BURD22) or by texting BURD22 to 74590. This fundraiser supports many activities at Burdick and your generosity and effort are greatly appreciated.
The annual Burdick Fall Open House will be held on Thursday, September 26 from 5:30 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. There will be a Title 1 meeting in the Burdick Cafeteria before the Open House (5:00 p.m. until 5:30 p.m.). There will also be a high school enrollment meeting for families of Burdick eighth-grade students from 6:00 p.m. until 6:30 p.m. during the Open House.
