The Alliance School is a small, charter school of the Milwaukee Public School system. The school opened in 2005 with the goal of providing a safe and accepting environment for all students. The Alliance School is a place where it’s okay to be black, white, gay, straight, gothic, Buddhist, Christian, or just plain unique!
For those of you who are new to Alliance, The Alliance School was the first school in the nation to start with a mission of reducing bullying. It was also the first to start a gay-friendly middle school. We currently serve students in grades 9-12 who live in the Milwaukee area. We are part of the Milwaukee Public School system, so we are open to anyone. If you are looking for a great school, come check us out.
The Alliance School is a small democratically-led school. We have seats for 200 students in grades 9-12, and we follow a year round schedule. The school uses a model of democratic governance, so that students and teachers are empowered to make the school the best place it can be.
For those of you who have been long time friends, thanks for all of your support over the years!
We are currently accepting applications for the 2017-2018 school year. If you are interested in learning more about enrollment or taking a tour of the school, please call Mari, our enrollment counselor, at (414) 267-5425.
