We welcome you as a volunteer in Milwaukee Public Schools. It takes a special person to volunteer and for that, we thank you.
Your kindness and generosity will help move us one step closer to our goal of improving student achievement. It cannot be accomplished without community support. Whether you’re reading a book to a child, braving the cold as a playground monitor, or stuffing weekly parent folders, you time is valued and you are contributing to making our schools succeed.
At Milwaukee Public Schools we believe that it takes many people to provide our children with high-quality, educational opportunities that encourage lifelong learning. As a volunteer you will be assisting our staff to provide an enhanced educational experience for our children. Your contributions become an important part of our total instructional effort. With your help we can help provide the level of support students need to reach their educational goals and become successful citizens.
Please let us know how your experience in Milwaukee Public Schools can be improved. We value your input and ideas. Please contact the district’s Volunteer Coordinator, Heather Aschoff at (414) 773-9823 or aschofha@milwaukee.k12.wi.us with your suggestions.
We hope that you will continue to volunteer for years to come. Please know your contribution makes a difference for the students and staff in our district.
Thank you!
Gregory E. Thornton, Ed.D.
