After finding success on the ice as a speedskating standout in the 1988 and 1992 Winter Olympics, Jeff Klaiber (pictured, with glasses) has found new success in Sochi. The MPS substitute teacher is the coach of speedskating phenom Emery Lehman, who placed 16th in Saturday’s Men’s 5000 m race at the 2014 Winter Olympics. Klaiber also coaches Jonathan Kuck, who placed 19th in the same race.

Klaiber, an MPS substitute teacher, was a clinical psychologist for MPS from 1994 to 2005. He skated on the World Cup circuit from 1985 to 1989 and in addition to two Olympics appearances, competed at the 1985 and 1989 World Championships.
