CATP student teaches sign language and dance

singingsongsRufus King junior Lizbeth Lopez-Carillo teaches sign language and dance steps to children at the Nurturing Nook daycare center as a volunteer in the MPS Community Assessment Training Program.

Lizbeth uses sign language, gestures, facial expressions, lip reading and keen observation skills in order to communicate. Teachers requested that Lizbeth also share her dance skills with the children. She is a member of the Dance Academy of Mexico and recently performed traditional dances in classic Mexican dress.
