Milwaukee Fire Department helps MPS kids stay warm this winter

ffcoats4kidsThe Milwaukee Fire Department was out last weekend at intersections around the city collecting money to purchase coats for MPS students in need. This is the second year Professional Firefighters Local 215 participated in the nationwide Operation Warm coats for kids program. Last year, the proceeds went toward the purchase of nearly 1,000 coats for students at MPS’ James Whitcomb Riley School and Richard Kluge School. This year, the coats will be distributed in October to the schools determined to be in the greatest need.
