Westside competes in mathematics

A group of Westside Academy students participated in the local Math Counts competition with over 20 other schools from the surrounding area. They spent the day competing in individual and team rounds at Milwaukee School of Engineering.

Howard Montessori helped by City Year

A group of more than 60 City Year Milwaukee corps members spent much of Friday at MPS’ Howard Avenue Montessori School painting classrooms, hallways and murals. Two corps members (pictured above) painted a Maria Montessori mural that includes a quote from the namesake of Montessori education. MPS thanks City Year Milwaukee for its continuing support!
