Milwaukee Board of School Directors makes strides to reduce use of paper

In an effort to reduce waste, increase efficiency and modernize operations, the Milwaukee Board of School Directors began phasing out its use of paper agendas (“blue books”) in favor of the ElectronicSchoolBoard (ESB).  ESB is an online electronic agenda that is accessible via the internet by the public 24 hours a day, seven days a week, using any standard internet browser.

As of Earth Day 2012, two months since ESB was placed in use, the Office of Board Governance estimates a savings of at least 10,000 sheets of paper, representing stewardship of  natural resources and stewardship of district’s resources.

To access agendas for meetings of the Board and its committees through ESB, please visit: https://esb.milwaukee.k12.wi.us/

To access official notices of upcoming meetings, an archive of agendas of meetings held prior to March 2012 and recordings of meetings of the Board and its committees, visit the Board’s website at:  http://www2.milwaukee.k12.wi.us/governance/  Links are also available on the MPS website homepage at http://www.milwaukee.k12.wi.us/.
